Bukhara is one of the most ancient cities of Central Asia located in Uzbekistan. The region around Bukhara has been inhabited for at least five millennia, and the city has existed for half that time. The city has long been a center of trade, scholarship, culture, and religion. Let us look at some details of the city and meet its people.

The Park of Samanides stands at the place of an ancient cemetery. A plenty of poppies can be found here.
Mausoleum of Samanides is a very beautiful building made of burnt bricks that was constructed in the ninth century.
The cubic form of the Mausoleum symbolizes the earth, its dome means the sky and the entire construction together denotes the Universe.
The Museum of Water has a scared spring inside which appeared with Job prophet saved people from the drought.
A religious school.
The fortress is the heart of the city which was closed for visitors after destruction of its wall.
A summer mosque.
The house of a rich merchant from Bukhara in the nineteenth century.
Furniture shop.
Local people are very hospitable and treat tourists well. It seems a bit strange for a modern person visiting the place to find herself or himself in an ancient world.
