Ukranian born, Valerii Danevych is a watchmaker who specialises in crafting one-of-a-kind watches entirely out of wood.
He has dedicated his life to the trade and starting making functional wristwatches in 2005 and by 2008, he had completed his first working wooden pocket watch. He has since perfected the art using only one metal spring in the whole design. His most recent watch took 1800 hours to complete and is selling for $132,500 (€100,000).
